| Our
Story |
| |
Treasure
Island Cruises was established in 1992 by
a group of five Antiguans, having a combined
total of over 40 years experience in the business
of selling sail and snorkel tours.
The company was fortunate to set up its office
in the village of "Five Islands",
which is home to several major hotels, including
the Rex Hawksbill Resort, Galley Bay Hotel,
the Grand Royal Antigua Hotel, Coconut Beach
Hotel and Pillar Rock Villas.
Our first vessel called Wincruise, was a 45ft
sailing catamaran, equipped especially for
sail and snorkel cruises to Cades Reef - on
the southern side of the island. |
In 1996 |
| |
We
expanded our operations with a 67ft sailing
catamaran, the "Caribbean Queen",
providing visitors to our island with the
great opportunity to brave the Atlantic Ocean...
while circumnavigating Antigua, or simply
take a more tranquil tour to Bird Island or
Cades Reef. |
In
1997 |
| |
We
redesigned our Cades Reef Cruise by including
a strong cultural component - featuring live
steelband music, professional limbo dancing, and
fire dancing. Our Cades Reef Cruise
has been hailed by cruise ship passengers
as... "the best sail and snorkel cruise
in the Caribbean". |
Our Sailing Catamaran |
| |
Is
insured and licensed to operate within 3 miles
off the coast of Antigua. Our two Captains
have a combined total of over 30 years experience
navigating the waters and reefs around Antigua.
Established now for over 16 years, Treasure
Island Cruises offers you a wealth of know-how,
experience and most important of all... a
genuine love for sailing and snorkeling! Here
is a chance for you to get to know a bit about our team and the fun times we have in hosting
visitors to the shores of Antigua onboard
our 70-ft catamaran, the Caribbean Queen.
